I used thus when i needed to chop onions tomatoes raisins etc fir making chutney. Its great the reason it git a 4 is that it doesnt fasten tightly but to be honest you hold it in one hand and pull the string with the other so you in effect hold the lid on. Otherwise it wouldn't be very good to use. Dont overload it. The blade needs room to start moving. It cleans easily except the lid as it says not to submerge in water. I understand as this is where the string is but i think eventually the string will get too dirty to be able to use. Separating the lid and the cap with the string would be great. That way the lid could maybe screw on properly and the cap with string can be kept entirely separate. However its a great wee gadget for what it is and i know i will use it a lot
from what I've noticed from the recipients, it's quite small... not much can fit in it... I expected it to be bigger. It's not dishwasher safe at all! It'll melt, never wash it in the dishwasher, and if you've already done it, check the seller to see if they're lying in the description that they can wash it in the dishwasher when they can't! If they're lying (I was lied to and I did it according to the instructions and the seller's assurances and it melted the container from such a shredder, only higher) and if it happened to you too, it's a consumer right, you'll report it to customer service, take pictures and demand a refund and a screenshot of what the seller has of this particular item and send it all to the service in the chat and they should refund you for it like they did to me.
